Senior Sales Specialist

Sarah was born for this… literally! Even though she officially started with My Dad’s in 2005, she has been running around the store since she was a toddler because her mother worked here too. Over the last few years, Sarah has taken on the role of Senior Sales Specialist. When she is not on the sales floor, ordering products, or training new employees, she is keeping everyone on their toes with her encyclopedia of knowledge in all things flooring and beyond. In her down time, she enjoys playing darts and spending time with her husband and their five fur babies!

Sandy Fox

Sales & Design Specialist

Sandy loves providing an easy and fun shopping experience while helping her customers find the perfect flooring for their projects at the best value. She also finds time to design graphics and promotional materials for the store. Sandy graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Philadelphia and has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Design & Technology. She has over 20 years of combined sales, customer service and design experience. Flooring America has certified her in both sales & home design service excellence. Outside of work she enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, photography, art, sci-fi, Pinterest, home design apps & playing with her two little ones.

Rose Lutz

Sales & Design Specialist

Rose enjoys helping customers to find exactly what they are looking for. Her keen eye for detail and client-centered approach--from her experience in real estate--have earned her a reputation for reliability and integrity. Rose’s combined experiences in both real estate as well as in education have uniquely equipped her to understand the needs of families and the community. Outside of her professional pursuits, Rose cherishes spending quality time with her husband, three teenagers, and two beloved dogs. She finds joy in creating memorable moments with her family and is passionate about contributing to her community's well-being. Rose continues to embrace new challenges with enthusiasm, guided by her values of empathy, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to learning and growth.

Shawn Esterly

Operations Manager, Douglassville

Shawn is a dedicated individual who is committed to providing exceptional customer service and thrives on making a positive impact on the lives of others. With his years of experience in customer service, Shawn has honed his skills in communication, problem-solving, and building strong relationships. In his free time, you can find him casting a line in the nearest fishing spot or playing fetch with his furry companions. He cherishes the moments spent with his grandchildren—creating  lasting memories and fostering strong bonds.

Tim Hutchinson

Operations Manager, Phoenixville

Tim brings over a decade of expertise in global retail account management and project management within the construction industry to his role as Manager of Operations. With a BA in Business Management, Tim has honed his skills in overseeing operational functions and cultivating client relationships on an international scale. His strategic insights and hands-on experience have consistently driven success in optimizing business operations and project execution.  Outside of his professional endeavors, Tim is a devoted family man, happily married with three daughters. He finds joy in supporting Philadelphia sports teams and shares his passion for sports with his community. Tim's commitment to excellence in both his career and personal life reflects his proactive approach and dedication to achieving results.

Jay Battiste

President & Co-Owner

Jay Battiste is the President and Co-Owner of My Dad's Flooring; a thriving small family business with deep roots spanning three generations. Jay took the reins of this proud establishment—which now boasts two store locations in Douglassville and Phoenixville—after a successful 20-year career in the travel industry. In 2019 he partnered with his father-in-law Ed Graefe, who originally founded the family flooring business with his father back in 1984. Jay holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Management as well as a Masters Certification in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, graduating with magna cum laude honors. His expertise spans business management, finance, sales management, operations management, strategic planning, business development, and customer service.  In his free time, he loves spending time with his amazing wife and their five beautiful children, attending their various extracurricular activities and events. When they aren't busy with these activities, they enjoy vacationing at Disney World and taking relaxing trips to some of their favorite beach and lake destinations. Jay is also a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan and makes it a point to watch and attend games as often as possible!

Ed Graefe

Founder & Co-Owner

Ed founded My Dad's Flooring with his father, George, in 1984. Since the beginning, Ed and My Dad's Flooring have strived to provide customers with the best value and selection in flooring. In recent years, Ed's son in-law, Jay, joined the business which allowed Ed to step back from daily operations. Ed is still involved as a shareholder and handles most of the accounting responsibilities.  Early in his career Ed worked as a Nuclear Engineer for a local utility company and later owned a metal fabrication business. In his free time Ed travels extensively and enjoys good restaurants, SCUBA diving, bicycling, playing pool, pickleball, golf, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
